Histoire de Bordeaux contenant la continuation des dernières histoires de cette ville, depuis 1675, époque où elles se terminent, jusqu'en 1838 précédé d'un résumé des principaux événements rapportés dans ces mêmes histoires, depuis le fondation de Bordeaux. Illustrated with 7 hors-texte engravings including a heightened and folded plan of Bordeaux in 1737. Spine unstained, a few freckles. - CAPELLE (Jean-Félix). Table of the improvements of which the city of Bordeaux is susceptible, relative to healthiness and report on the memoirs sent in 1811 and 1815 to the Royal Society of Medicine of this city for the competition opened on this matter. In-12, 99 p., green percaline boards, gilt title in the center of the cover.uncommon work and copy in good condition of this "humorous apology" under an assumed name of the Viscount Jean Jacques Louis Paul de Chasteigner (1827-ca. 1890) illustrated with a title and engravings by the caricaturist Paul Hadol (1835-1875). Copy with autograph dispatch signed by the author to his friend Henry Ribadieu. The Viscount draws from literature the descriptions that were given at various times of the Bordeaux woman, then gives his description of the elegant woman in 1870.
