René LALIQUE (1860-1945) Statuette " Source de la Fontaine Galatée ", model created in 1924. Proof in molded-pressed white glass on a quadrangular wooden base (a firing hair in the middle part) H. 50 cm - H. base : 6 cm (Shock, defects of cooking and hair which makes the turn of the body) History: this model was initially printed in eight copies for the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925. It was then included in the 1928 and 1932 catalogs before being withdrawn in 1937. Bibliography: "R.
