An important pair of five-light and two-light candelabra in - Lot 437
An important pair of five-light and two-light candelabra in matte and gilded bronze on two rows surmounted by the owl of Athena resting on spheres with palmettes. The red marble base, featuring an archer ready to shoot, is adorned on the sides with a medallion marked "XLV OLP" and with military attributes within a laurel wreath on the front. The gilded bronze base features a water-leaf frieze.
19th century, after a model attributed to Claude Galle and commissioned by the merchant Antoine-Thibaut Baudouin.

A similar model, but without the marble base, is preserved at the Grand Trianon in Versailles.
