Beautiful pair of Empire-style perfume burner vases in marble and finely chased bronze decorated with a large frieze of antique-style dancers. The base of the vases, with foliated gadroons, rests on square-section pedestals flanked on all sides by the face of Hermes, all resting on flattened ball feet. 19th century H. 46 cm A similar example is in the Louvre collections.
