Extract from the bottle history as written on the back label of the bottle (author René Pijassou, professor emeritus at Michel de Montaigne University, Bordeaux III): In May 1991, the Gaspar Opération group discovered the wreck of a merchant ship in Indonesian waters. The Marie-Thérèse, a 503-ton three-masted barque from Bordeaux, sank on February 29, 1872 in the Gaspar Strait on a voyage to Saigon. It was the discovery of the word Larose on a crate board that led to the attribution of these bottles to Château Gruaud-Larose...' Domed wax capsule, slightly damaged and with a crack. Slightly dirty label with a small tear at the lower edge. Slightly soiled back label with a peeling point at its lower left corner. Presence of a USA back label.
