Publisher's oblong paperback, almond-green cloth illustrated with a color engraving on the first cover, Murat charging, on his galloping horse. A well-known work among militaria enthusiasts, who seek it out for the beauty of the brightly colored illustrations and the wealth of information on Empire-era military costumes. Cover a little faded, with a few stains. Interior in good condition, but a few small brown spots, as is often the case. Also included, by the same illustrator, but with text by A. Fabre: A la gloire des bêtes. Tours, Mame, s.d. Large in-4 cream percaline publisher's paperback with polychrome decoration. Complete with text and illustrations, many with military subjects. But in poor condition: numerous freckles, stains, detached leaves, etc.
